THE BIG LITTLE CITY

Hi! My name is Mapola and this is my first Blog! Welcome to Changing the Names to Protect the Innocent.



I’m originally from New York City. A veerrryy big city. But after many years of harsh winters, long work days, and not a lot of quality of life I decided to move down to sunny Miami. And boy was I in for a rude awakening!



The bigger the city, the bigger the dreams, and even bigger the desires. Filled with optimism, excitement and lust the single community of any metropolitan oasis, like Miami, forges ahead to meet, date, sex it up and eventually find the “ONE”. Or at least they hope. The hard part though is navigating through a scene filled with fast talking schemers, gold diggers, adulterers, and self – professed perfect mates. And that’s just at the bar. Rope in friends of friends, the blind date, the office romance, and occasional online dating sites and what you get is an abyss of some of the most melo-dramatic, humorous, and sometimes heart-breaking dating stories one city can barely handle.



And after breaking up with the boyfriend I moved here with, I was right smack in the middle of this scene.



My blog will hopefully entertain you with some funny, heart breaking and just ridiculous dating stories. But that’s not all! We’ll give you tips on where to go on your first date, how to navigate through online dating sites, what to and NOT to wear when you get set to meet the love of your life! Also make-up tips from Make-Up Forever artist Damian Castellanos, romantic vacation getaways, and other fun stuff like favorite drinks, streaming videos, dating stories from our friends in NY, and much much more! And the best of all is you’ll get to share your stories too! We’d love to hear them.



Of course we’ll change the names to protect the innocent (and you should too!) because only God knows who’ll be reading this……
